We are a creative design company specializing in creating curated design experiences.
We create pre-eminent, luxurious and innovative interiors for luxury resorts, urban hotels, boutique hotels, mega resorts and new lifestyle hotel brands, as well as luxury residential projects. Z LUXE Studio is founded by Zia Hansen-Rockwood, who has designed distinctive luxurious and lifestyle hotels and resorts for the past 25+ years as design director and creative director for some of the most esteemed hospitality design companies globally. With her teams she has created award winning experiences for clients, operators and their guests. Each project is designed and created to be a unique, authentic and/or glamorous design experience, each with its own story to tell and be remembered. We design what people see and do. We research, create stories and explore local culture and history, as well as local products as rich sources of design inspiration. PROFILE
An award-winning and highly-experienced senior executive, Zia is an exceptional design leader and creative interior designer. She brings in 20+ years of high-end hospitality interior design experience designing hotels and resorts for the most extinguished hotel brands around the world. She has successfully set up and led multiple interior design teams and hotel-resort projects for an illustrious list of Clients. Zia started her career in Scandinavia, which set the foundation for her passion for excellence in design, and has since worked globally in Europe, US, South East Asia, Middle East and Africa. Working for global leaders of hospitality design, she and her teams have consistently delivered results that exceed expectations, from creative conceptual ideations through built execution in intensely competitive markets, with award-winning projects as result. Her project experiences span from small to mid-sized luxury and boutique hotels through 2000+ room integrated hotel resorts.
Her array of talents are rounded out by her strengths as a spotter and cultivator of talent, a motivator and team-builder. Her designs are defined by purpose-driven innovative thinking, redefining luxury with a focus on discovery and creation; backed up by exquisitely detailed design solutions. She has created new hotel brands targeting Gen Y business travelers for established hotel operators. She is an avatar and a globetrotter, with a knack of finding the heart and soul of a destination, bringing it to life in words and pictures via her blogging chops and photography. Her penchant for travelling in high style, while exploring the deeper levels of culture, embodies her commitment to reach for the heart of destinations, creating authentic unique user experiences.
