If you strive to experience peace of mind, you should practice mindfulness. Mindfulness and meditation can help you relax, as well as teach you to be unconditionally present. The latter, helps you to be present in the moment and experience and benefit from discomfort, if it exists. Instead of trying to avoid or deny it, experiencing discomfort is part of being human. Mindfulness is being aware of your thoughts or feelings and accepting them.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I prioritize a holistic approach to mental health by incorporating the eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, physical, intellectual, occupational, social, spiritual, environmental, and financial. By addressing these interconnected aspects of well-being, I develop personalized treatment plans that promote overall mental and emotional resilience. My goal is to support my patients in achieving a balanced and fulfilling life through comprehensive, compassionate care rooted in these essential wellness principles.
