“The great thing about Jane Marla Robbins is she conclusively proves that wisdom can be funny”

“Moving…. The book succeeds in capturing the manifold nature of illness. Jane’s hospital stay is indeed nightmarish, she is beset by giant birds, nurses dancing the cancan, and human-sized pill bottles screaming ‘eat me.’”
– Kirkus Review. Recommended. Our verdict: Get it!
“Truly gifted writers can make any topic a thing of wonder, and that’s what Ms. Robbins has done with her glorious, painful, funny, scary, and completely spectacular new book. A spirit-filling, courage-bringing talisman.”
– Celeste Fremon, The Los Angeles Times
“Myasthenia gravis attacked Jane Marla Robbins, and in this book she launches a brilliant counterattack. Her weapons, that embrace and actually suffocate it, are: wit, humor, word play, music, and yes, JOY.”
– Jimmy Roberts, composer, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”
